Frequently Asked Questions about Moving Sand Art
1. What should I do if the sand doesn’t fall or falls too quickly?
A: To create finer bubbles, gently shake the Sandscape. The smaller the bubbles, the more dramatic the resulting landscapes will be.
A: If not used for several weeks, you may need to shake the sand by tapping on the glass to get it moving again.
2. Should I add water? What type of water should I use?
A: Yes, perhaps once a year. Over time, the water will evaporate. We recommend "spring water" as the best water to replenish the evaporated water.
A: DO NOT remove the water from your sand picture. You won’t need to add much water, perhaps just a few millilitres. Do not overfill. The glass may crack due to excessive pressure.
3. Will there be leaks?
A: With proper use of the injector and normal handling, water should not leak. However, a little may evaporate through the seal.
4. Do you get the same sand creation every time you turn it?
A: No, each time will be fascinatingly different. In fact, it's hypnotic.
